Firstly, I would like to apologize for the lack of updates in the past week or so. Things have gotten very hectic at work, but on the bright side, things were hectic because I was busy putting together a game package for a broadcast I mustered up! And I am proud to announce that broadcast will hit the air TONIGHT on 100.1 Moose FM and online at EnergeticCity.ca. Here's the run dowwwwwwn!
Fort St John Huskies Trail Series 3-1 to the Peace River Navigators. The Navs finished first overall in the NWJHL with a record of 33-3-0-0, while the Huskies finished 18-17-0-1. In the first round, the Pups beat the Sexsmith Vipers in a best of 5 series, before setting themselves up to play the Navs.
Peace River has allowed 4+ goals just 2 times this season, and one of those times was Sunday afternoon in a 7-2 trouncing by the Huskies on North Peace Arena ice. Tonight, the Huskies know they need to get pucks on net if they plan on living another day. Speaking of another day, Game 6 if necessary will go Saturday afternoon right back here in Fort St John. And, if all goes as planned, Game 7 will be Sunday afternoon back in Alberta.
Listen to tonight's game with myself and Sean Assor on color, beginning at 7:15 PMT/8:15 MST with the action getting underway at 8:30 Local time(MST). Please Click This Link To Listen Live!
