Hawks Fall In Exhibition Opener:

Nipawin, Sask- The Nipawin Hawks opened the exhibition season in front of a large crowd Monday night, but came up short 6-1 against the Flin Flon Bombers.

Sporting maroon practise jerseys, the Bombers got goals from Lucas Anseth(Prince Albert), Brenden Zupanich(Surrey, BC), Davidson(help with information? please comment below!),  Brett Boehm(Martensville)and Dalen Mimeault(Edmonton).

The hometown Hawks got a beauty from Garret Lockridge(Regina) off a nifty cross ice pass from Brandon Arnold, who I had the chance to speak to post game.

The Hawks will travel to The Pas, Manitoba on Wednesday to face the MJHL's OCN Blizzard, before heading to La Ronge on Friday for a date with the Ice Wolves. The Hawks next home game is Saturday against the OCN Blizzard.

Regular season opens on September 21st in La Ronge, with the broadcast on CJVR with myself. September 22nd will be the home opener against the  Ice Wolves once again.

I also chatted with d-man Jesse Roden about how he felt playing with Zack Harms.

Assistant Coach Tyson Hobbins also shared his insight on the game.
