Hawks Head To Yorkton To Face Terriers:

The Nipawin Hawks are travelling south east today to Yorkton, where they will hit the ic for a 7:30 puck drop against the Terriers.

The Hawks have won 4 of 5 since dropping both games on their Yorkton/Melville trip in early October. The only loss came in Humboldt, when the Broncos came away with a 5-1 decision.

The last time Nipawin was in Yorkton, they failed to beat netminder Kale Thomson, who made 24 stops in a 3-0 win. That game featured what some refer to as sparks, but I'll refer to it as a bonfire. The 2 teams combined for 236 penalty minutes, including 10 Rough After Whistle penalties and multiple Fighting Majors.

Both teams, you can tell don't like each other much; but I think tonight's game is going to have a quicker pace and a more Hockey-oriented style. Doug Johnson and Trent Cassan were both disappointed with the on-ice performance, meaning they probably want the guys to take this game out on the scoreboard.

Puck drop tonight will be 7:30, but the game can be heard live throughout most of Saskatchewan on the AM dial, on CK750. I'll have the call beginning at 7:15 from the Farrell Agencies Arena.
