Hawks Make Couple Of Deals:

Following a road trip that started well but finished with a landslide, the Nipawin Hawks have made their move.

20-year old forward Ryan Ostertag has been sent to the Weyburn Red Wings in exchange for Future Considerations and '95 born prospect Forward Connor Bucsis.

Bucsis is currently playing with the Tisdale Trojans, and has 3 points in 2 games.

Last week, the Hawks also acquired 18-year old Carter Danczak and 17-year old Max Powiada from the Battlefords North Stars for Forward Justin Waskewitch..

Danczak was the leading scoring with the Battlefords Midget AAA club last season, and has 1 assists through 1 game with the SJHL Stars so far this season.

Powiada is from Saskatoon but is playing for the SMHL's Battleford Stars currently, and was also a part of Team Saskatchewan at the 2011 Canada Games in Halifax. Max will fight for a roster spot in 2013/2014.

The Hawks entertain the La Ronge Ice Wolves tonight at 7:30. Listen to the broadcast live on MBC with fellow BC-boy Dustin Forbes(with me on color) by clicking this link!
