SJHL Power Rankings:

The SJHL released their Power Rankings for the week, and here they are. Keep in mind these are the picks of Mike Stackhouse and the SJHL, not myself.

The Rankings are brought to us by Source Embroidery in Yorkton. Check them out online at sourcepromo.ca

1-FLIN FLON (4-0-0-0)
Scoring lots and not getting scored on very much.  Pretty good recipe to win hockey games.

2-KINDERSLEY (3-1-0-0)
The surprise of the first week and a half of the season.  Shymko gives them a chance every night.

3-LA RONGE (2-1-0-2)
Not abundant in talent, but a real pain to play against.  Teams thinking it will be easy will be leaving town with 0 points.

4-NOTRE DAME (2-0-0-2)
Nobody pays any attention to them and Kevin White couldn’t be happier.

5-YORKTON (2-1-0-0)
Quiet out of the gate, but playing a tight defensive style that will win them plenty of games.

6-MELVILLE (3-2-0-0)
Fun for the fans, not so fun for the coaching staff.  Lots of run and gun.

7-NIPAWIN (2-1-0-1)
Look like they are still meshing a bit.  A team to watch.

8-HUMBOLDT (2-2-0-1)
If you were expecting an also ran after their load up from last year, think again.

9-BATTLEFORDS (2-2-0-0)
They are just never ever bad.  Never.  Even now when their roster seems void of superstars.

10-WEYBURN (2-3-0-0)
Defense is really good, but McMillan may need to bring smoke and mirrors to the rink some nights.

11-MELFORT (2-3-0-0)
Wouldn’t be a surprise to see single digit points separate second from sixth all year.  It’s going to be fun watching the North Division standings.

12-ESTEVAN (1-4-0-1)
Showing signs of coming around, they have to be careful not to get buried.
