Hawks Welcome Millionaires To Town:

They're 2nd in the SJHL at 14-5-0-1 and the last time the Melville Millionaires played the Nipawin Hawks, they scored 3 goals in the 3rd period in a 5-3 win at the Horizon Credit Union Center.

Jesse Bernard had a goal and an assist in the loss, while Carter Coben and Michael Lambert added singles and Davis Jones made 24 of 28 stops.

Alex Wakaluk made 33 stops on 36 shots, while Russel Trudeau and Ian McNulty led the way offensively for the Mills. TJ Reeve, who played in the WJAC out in Nova Scotia, was not in the lineup that night.

Coming in to tonight's game, the Hawks are fresh off their first road win of the season last Saturday in Melfort. That night features lots of sparks, through goals and hits and big stops from Jordan Liem. Tonight, Davis Jones will get tested against one of Canada's top teams, so make sure you stand on your feet and make some noise for the boys in yellow 'n black.

Tad Kozun will return from a suspension he recieved for an incident in Estevan a couple weeks ago, which is a huge boost for the injury-laden Hawks who are slowly rebuilding their lineup with players returning. Mitch Doell, Brady Zerr and Brendan Hopkins all remain on the IR.

Game time tonight at the Centennial Arena is 7:30, but be sure to get their a few minutes early to get in your seat to catch the starting lineups!

Tomorrow night, the Hawks entertain the Humboldt Broncos, who are in Melfort tonight taking on the Mustangs who are coming off a 5-2 win over Battlefords on Wednesday.

Godric Tham had 2 goals for Melfort that night, who got a strong performance from Patrick Johnson.

You can listen to that game tonight at 7:15 on CK750 and online at and although you will hear Branden Crowe on the call, if you listen extra hard you'll hear my voice as the PA announcer at the Palace tonight.

See you at the rink!
