Hawks Bring On Johnstone:

The Nipawin Hawks have acquired 19 year old Ben Johnstone from the Virden Oil Capitals of the MJHL in exchange for future considerations.

Ben is right handed and is from Carlyle, Sk. He has put up 5+5 in 25 games this season.

Last season Ben played with the Estevan Bruins and put up 8+8 in 49 games and was named SJHL Rookie of the Month for December, 2011.

  1. 5'6" 150lbs 10 points in 25 games....Why? and get rid of Hop...makes no sense

  2. I'm thinking he could be a fast forward that gets the puck from the corner to the front of the net. I think he will bring a lot of energy to a team that needed more speed on it's 2nd line, but of course he may compete for a spot on line 1A, 1B or 1C.
