Catching Up With Ex-Tisdale Trojan Michael Olson:

Here is a video from St. Cloud State on a member of their alumni, Michael Olson.

Mike is from Tisdale, about 20 minutes east of Melfort, and 30 minutes south of Nipawin. Much like Tisdale's Matt Watkins and Tyson Strachan, Michael fled to the BCHL following his Midget AAA Trojan days.

Michael was part of the 2002 Air Canada Cup Champion Trojan team.

He then spent 3 seasons with the Nanaimo Clippers in the BCH:L, playing 195 games in Orange and Black(Season+Playoffs) recording 239 points, before spending the next 4 seasons with St. Cloud State of the NCAA before signing with the Idaho Steelheads in 2009/2010.

After a single season in the ECHL, Michael is now the Assistant Coach with the Clippers, working closely with Head Coach Mike Vandekamp. Both Mike's took part in last year's Savage Cup, the BC Senior AAA Provincial Championships, with the Fort St John Flyers.

And here is my chat with Michael from last season!
