Leduc's Williamson Drafted By Canucks:

The next big guest on the blog probably enjoyed his Canada Day a little bit more than anyone else - and for good reason.

Leduc's Mike Williamson was among 210 others drafted this past weekend in the NHL's entry Draft in Newark, New Jersey.

Williamson was drafted 175th overall by the Vancouver Canucks, after being projected to go at 183rd overall.

The 19 year old is off to play for the NCAA's PennState next season.

Williamson played two full seasons with the AJHL's Spruce Grove Saints, recording 29 points in 69 career regular season games along with 10 points in 26 playoff games.

Mike will join me this week to discuss the past season, the draft, and what's next on his schedule as the hardest part of his career is just getting started!
