Pair of Centennials AP's Seeking Mac's Midget Tournament Glory:

Every year, along with the World Junior Hockey Championships, the Mac's Midget AAA Tournament is held over the holiday season beginning on Boxing Day.

This year's event has a total of 30 Affiliates to BCHL clubs on BC Major Midget League team rosters, including a pair of Merritt Centennials prospects.

Tanner Campbell(Okanagan Rockets) and Austin Campeau(Vancouver NE Chiefs) have both put up big seasons, with Campbell sitting 2nd in team scoring and Campeau helping to anchor the blue line defensively.

Campbell has amassed 17 goals and 39 points through just 26 games, which is 4th overall in the BCMML. His Rockets hold a 6 point lead atop the league standings.

Campeau has 10 assists in 25 games, and is now at 60 career games in the BCMML, all with the Chiefs. Austin has appeared in one game with the Centennials this season, playing a strong game and looking as though he was in his place in the BCHL.

I stumbled upon an interview done by MidgetAAACanada.com on Austin, and you can view that right here on the blog below.

Check out http://macstournament.ab.ca/ for the schedule and results at the tournament, which wraps up New Years Day with the Final played at ScotiaBank Saddledome, home of the Calgary Flames.

Thanks to Brian Wiebe for putting together a full list of BCHL alumni at the tournament. Find that here.
